After breakfast we will go on a short hike that will mostly take us through the forest. We will walk to Saur village and then ascend to Juda-ka-Talab a small pond that freezes over during the winter. This lake has religious significance and offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains. It has the ability to enchant visitors with its views. You won't be able to take your eyes off it until you see it. You won't be able to express your feelings.

Begin your day early to catch a glimpse of the brilliant sunrise. We will begin our journey to the Kedarkantha foundation which is situated at an elevation of 11250 feet, after a wonderful breakfast. The trek should take about 4-5 hours to complete if you take enough breaks. At first the trail is almost level and it follows a well-marked path. It does however quickly enter a dense pine and oak forest before opening into beautiful meadows dotted with small shepherds huts. The imposing view of snow-capped Himalayan peaks Bandarpoonch Swargarohini Kala Nag and Ranglana will take your breath away.

Consider the view from the summit if the Kedar Kantha base is as lovely as it is. The ascent to the summit is not long but it is steep and we will choose the best path based on the snow conditions which will take about 4-5 hours. From the peak you will be able to see the entire Yamunotri Gangotri and Kinner Kailash ranges as well as the valleys. Then depending on our path we will descend the peak and trek all the way down to Juda ka Talab or another campsite. We will sleep in tents there that night.

Today we'll go on a short hike before driving straight to Dehradun. In the splendour of the Himalayas rise with the sun and enjoy your meal. After that we will start our descent to Sankri and it will be time to bid Kedarkantha Trek farewell. Around 9 pm you can arrive in Dehradun. This is the point at which the fantastic journey comes to an end.
